The Buddy Bowl consists of three sturdy molded polyethylene pieces which snap together with a positive locking seal.
The Buddy Bowl's unique three-part construction creates two chambers for water supply: the funnel-shaped drinking chamber, which allows pets access to a constantly-replenishing supply of liquid, and the containment chamber, which houses a generous supply of water.
The Buddy Bowl's containment chamber is enclosed on all sides, and will not spill its water even if the bowl is turned upside-down.
An opening at the bottom of the Buddy Bowl's funnel-shaped Drinking Chamber allows water in to replenish the drinking supply from the Supply Chamber.
A gravity-activated valve near top of funnel piece allows air into the Supply Chamber as water is depleted, but closes when the bowl is upside-down, preventing water from the supply chamber from exiting the Buddy Bowl.
Thick, abuse-resiliant construction resists claws, teeth, and gnawing.
Four fastening-point holes along the bottom edge of the Buddy Bowl allow the bowl to be tied to a stable surface or a backpack.
The Buddy Bowl can be used inside vehicles to prevent spills.
